Kolkata: An Air Deccan plane from Jamshedpur landed in emergency conditions at Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport here on Friday after one of its engines developed a technical problem and shut down mid-air. All 17 people on board the aircraft are safe, airport sources said. The pilot of the Jamshedpur-Kolkata flight contacted Air Traffic Control after the engine shut down mid-air, they said. All preparations were made and the flight landed safely at 1 p.m. -PTI
