An effort to promote religious harmony and peace

Students from 26 varsities participate

KAKINADA: As part of the ongoing 13th All India Inter-University National Integration Camp, a rally for religious harmony and world peace was taken out by the students of 26 universities in the city on Saturday.
The camp was being organised jointly by the Foundation for Amity and National Solidarity (FANS) and Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Kakinada (JNTUK).
The rally was flagged-off by the founder president of the FANS Virender Mohan Trehan and Vice-Chancellor of the JNTUK Allam Appa Rao at the main gate of the JNTUK.
Clad in white T-shirts and caps with slogans promoting national integration and blood donation, over 350 students participated in the rally that proceeded towards Bhanu Gudi Junction, Two-Town and Balaji Cheruvu.
The students visited Ahele Sunnat Val Jamath and Craig Memorial Baptist Church to offer prayers for religious harmony and national integration.
Later they visited Brahmo Samaj near Balaji Cheruvu.
