Sudheesh fires in three
THRISSUR: Sudheesh struck thrice as Mampad's MES blanked Alappuzha's Sugunan Memorial Club 7-0 in the 35th Kerala state inter-club football championship for the N.I. David Trophy at the Corporation Stadium here on Sunday.
Mohammed Jinu (2) and Anjal C. Sulaiman (2) scored the other goals.
Eagles FC win
In the late game, Kochi's new Eagles FC defeated Thrissur District Police 5-4, via the tiebreaker. The teams were level 1-1 at the end of the regulation period.
Eagles' Sumesh gave the Kochi side the lead in the sixth minute but Vibin John netted the Police equaliser three minutes later.
