National junior carrom

NEW DELHI: About 500 players are expected to compete in the 39th National junior and inter-State carrom championship to be staged in Dehradun from December 28 to January 3.

Events will be held in the team and individual sections for boys and girls in the under-18 age group, and there will also be additional singles events in the youth under-21 section for boys and girls.

The organising secretary of the championship, Vijay Pal Singh Rawat, stated in a release issued here on Sunday, that the tournament would be conducted in the hall of a dharamshala and there would also be 67 rooms at the venue to cater to accommodate the teams. The venue is expected to feature 40 carrom boards for the championship.
