HYDERABAD: Deputy floor leader of the Telugu Desam Party in the Assembly Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Sunday said that the government was day-dreaming to suppress the Telangana movement with the use of force as it did in 1969. But, the present movement was different and cannot be stopped by any force, he asserted. Speaking to mediapersons here along with party leaders M. Narasimhulu, M. Venkateswara Rao and G. Nagesh, he said the government must explain the deployment of large number of paramilitary forces in the region ahead of the submission of Justice Srikrishna Committee's report. “It is fine if the committee suggests separation of Telangana or else we will intensify the struggle in the coming months,” Dr. Reddy said. Leaders of the party from Telangana region including MPs, MLAs and MLCs would meet on December 31 to chalk out their future course of action on the issue, as they were engaged in the fight on farmers' problems including the party's farmers' meeting at Guntur on December 30. Telangana leaders of the party also had a meeting in the party office. On N. Kiran Kumar Reddy's reported remarks on Telangana issue that everything would be in control after December 31 and the law and order situation arising out of the issue would be dealt with appropriately Dr. Janardhan Reddy said the remarks were provocative.
