Irate villagers block traffic on the NH for three hours carrying the victim's body SANGAREDDY: A road accident that occurred in Kaveli village on Saturday night led to an agitation by villagers who demanded that a doctor be appointed at the local hospital immediately. According to sources, Sudarshan (45) a resident of Kaveli village in Kohir mandal was seriously injured in a road accident on Saturday midnight. When he was taken the hospital no doctor was available and he succumbed to injuries. Alleging that Sudarshan died due to lack of treatment as doctors were not available, the villagers started an agitation from the night itself. In the morning they reached the highway with the body demanding that doctors be appointed immediately. Traffic on the Mumbai National Highway came to standstill for three hours. Efforts by the police to persuade the villagers proved futile as they remained adamant that an assurance be given to them. Meanwhile, Collector S. Suresh Kumar, who was informed about the agitation, assured to appoint a doctor within two days.
