Agricultural and industrial exhibition from January 1

KAKINADA: The 35th Agricultural and Industrial Exhibition will be held in the city for 60 days from January 1. Arrangements are being made at Raja Tank, where the exhibition will be held on a grand scale with setting up of over 200 stalls.

As many as 70 stalls have been allocated to public sector undertakings and service organisations and the proceeds from the exhibition will be used for taking up developmental works in the city.

Union Minister of State for Defense M.M. Pallam Raju and local MLA D. Chandrasekhar Reddy will inaugurate the exhibition at 5.30 p.m. on January 1.

Cultural programmes will be arranged for six days from January 7 and again 11 days from January 20. Municipal Commissioner G.S.N. Murthy, also the secretary of the Exhibition committee is monitoring the arrangements.
