Top Hizb Commander interrogated
Jammu: After taking custody of a top Hizbul Mujahideen commander Jameel Ahmed, the Jammu and Kashmir police on Wednesday interrogated him in Doda district on the sources of finance for the outfit, among other things.
“The police have taken custody of Jameel from the Himachal Pradesh police and brought him to Doda, where he was interrogated,” Deputy Inspector General Manish Sinha said. Jameel Ahmed, alias Nasir Wureshi, and his bodyguard Gulam Nabi were arrested in Kangra district on December 14.
They were interrogated and handed over to the J&K police.
Ahmed is believed to be the divisional commander (finance) of the outfit.
Another divisional commander Javed Qaureshi was arrested in Dehradun of Uttarakhand on December 12 and handed over to the Jammu and Kashmir police last week. — PTI
