Prizes distributed to winners of ‘Pothys Pattu Parisu'

GLITTERING: Singer Sudha Raghunathan and actors Hema Malini and Trisha with winners of the 'Pothys Pattu Parisu' contest in Chennai on Wednesday.

CHENNAI: Three brand ambassadors of Pothys came together on Wednesday to present prizes to winners of the ‘Pothys Pattu Parisu' contest.

At a function, at the ‘Silk Mark Expo' in Valluvarkottam here, actors Hema Malini and Trisha, and singer Sudha Raghunathan, who are brand ambassadors for Pothys' Vastrakala, Samudrika and Parampara silk saris respectively, shared the stage and distributed the prizes.

The 30 winners were selected through a lucky draw contest and were given silk saris. They participated in an SMS contest that had questions on the three varieties of the saris.

The saris, each distinct in its own way, are woven in pure silk and embellished with silver zaris and intricately designed to give a blend of tradition and modernity.

Pothys Managing Partner S.Ramesh said “Every weave, warp and weft of these specially woven pure silk saris have made a unique mark for themselves both in the industry and consumers. It is a first-of-its-kind promotional initiative and we are glad to see overwhelming response for the contest.”

Selection

The 30 winners were selected from nearly 30,000 text messages. Fifteen winners were from Chennai and the rest from Madurai and Tirunelveli.
