Sehwag out of ODIs

DURBAN: A shoulder problem has ruled Virender Sehwag out of the ODI series in South Africa, but the opener will play the third and deciding Test in Cape Town before flying home.

“He is available for the third Test, he will play,” team manager Ranjib Biswal said on Thursday.

The decision to rest Sehwag appears a precautionary measure ahead of the World Cup. Rohit Sharma has been named as his replacement for the ODIs. Opener M. Vijay has been added as the squad's 17th member. — Special Correspondent
