20 IPS officers promoted

HYDERABAD: The State government on Saturday promoted eight IPS officers of 1986 batch as Additional Director Generals of Police.

They are -- V.S.K. Kaumudi, Rajiv Trivedi, M. Mahender Reddy, R.P. Thakur, Prabhakar Aloka, Vinay Ranjan Ray, T. Krishna Prasad and D. Gautam Sawang.

S. Prabhakar Reddy, who retired on Friday after serving as Cyberabad Police Commissioner for over four years, was also expected to be promoted as Additional Director General of Police.

However, his name was not included in the list and he retired as IGP.

IGs

IPS officers of 1992 batch promoted as Inspector Generals of Police are -- Harish Kumar Gupta, P. Sitha Rama Anjaneyulu, Kasi Reddy V.R.N. Reddy, Jitender, Nalin Prabhat and N. Chandramouli.

DIGs

IPS officers of 1997 batch promoted as DIGs are N. Madhusudan Reddy, Vijay Kumar, Y. Nagi Reddy, D.S. Chauhan, Sanjay Kumar Jain and N. Suryanarayana.
