CHENNAI: The second round of qualifying for the Aircel Chennai Open extinguished all remaining hopes for the host as Vishnu Vardhan, Rupesh Roy and Karunuday Singh were sent packing. While all three went down in straight sets, Karunuday stretched Go Saeda 6-3, 7-5 before bowing out. Vishnu fell to Croatian Ante Pavic 6-1, 6-4 while Rupesh went down 6-3, 6-1 to Konstantin Kravchuk. One more round of qualifying, scheduled for Monday afternoon, will decide the four players for the main draw.
