Give scholarship to poor Hindu students: BJP

Tirupur: Bharatiya Janata Party's State president Pon. Radhakrishnan has said that the government should provide scholarships to poor Hindu students, including Dalits, on a par with the assistance being extended to students from minority communities.

“It is a gross inequality and injustice as the Hindu students are denied the benefit when the government has been giving scholarship to minority community students irrespective of the income limit of their families,” he said. The ‘Thamarai (lotus) rath yatra' being organised by the party in the State, reached the district on Sunday.
