CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu's G. Sathiyan clinched the men's and youth boys' titles in the Central Zone National-ranking table tennis tournament held at Vadodara, Gujarat recently. In the men's final, Sathiyan overcame a seasoned Soumyapdeep Roy while in the youth final, he defeated Soumyajit Ghosh. State billiards/snooker The Sumeru Soft-TNBSA State billiards and snooker team championship will begin on January 7. Entries close on January 5 at 6 p.m. with Nadeem Ahmed, MIC-Billiards, Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association, 318, 4th Floor, Avvai Shanmugam Salai, Gopalapuram. Ph: 28353801. Inter-school athletics KCG College of Technology, in association with Y's men club of Mylapore, is organising an inter-school athletic meet for boys and girls at the Nehru stadium on January 10.
