Kozhikode: V.P. Alavikkutty Haji, managing director of Siraj daily, died at a private hospital here on Tuesday. He was 78. Mr. Haji was a known figure in the socio-religious circles of Sunni Muslims in the State. He was working as the MD of the newspaper after retiring as Deputy Collector several years ago. Sunni leader Kanthapuram A.P. Aboobacker Musaliyar, Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) State president K.C. Rajagopal, general secretary Manoharan Morayi and treasurer Kamal Varadoor condoled his demise.
