Collector ensures zero error in anganwadi postings

KRISHNAGIRI: With a view to do away with corruption and ensure zero error in appointment of various posts in anganwadis, the Collector, V. Arun Roy, cross-checked eligibility of the candidates who had attended the interview at various block development offices in Krishnagiri.

A release from the collectorate said here on Tuesday that interviews were conducted by the district administration recently to fill up vacant posts of 92 anganwadi workers, 125 anganwadi assistants and 507 posts at various anganwadi sub-centres in the district.

Mr. . Roy recently visited the Panchayat Union Office in Bargur and verified the documents relating to the interviews conducted.

Mr. Roy took with him the list of persons who had participated in the interview and visited villages such as Kittanur, Kurukapatti, Kullampatti, Mylampatti, Jimmandapalli and Kosampatti.

He also conducted verifications in Krishnagiri, Veppanapalli and Shoolagiri Panchayat Unions.

The Collector is also scheduled to conduct verification in Kaveripattinam, Mathur, Uthangarai, Kelamangalam, Hosur and Thaly panchayat unions.

Only after verification, eligible candidates would be appointed, the release added.

Meanwhile, the interviews conducted at Kelamangalam Panchayat Union office on December 12, last year was cancelled by the Collector. The candidates who had already applied have been asked to appear for the interview on January 12. Individual call letters have been posted to the candidates. Only those who had received the call letters have been advised to attend the interview, according to another release issued here on Wednesday.
