Examination to be held in three centres Applications to be submitted by January 24 THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) has invited applications for the entrance examination for admission to Post Graduate Medical (Degree/Diploma) Courses, 2011, in government medical colleges in the State. Candidates possessing MBBS degree from any university in Kerala or any other university recognised by any university in Kerala as equivalent, with eligibility for full registration in respect of all courses, can apply. The entrance examination will be conducted by the CEE on February 9 in Thiruvananthapruam, Ernakulam and Kozhikode. General candidates, excluding service quota candidate to State quota seats, should appear for the examination, an official statement released by the CCE said. Applicants who will complete Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship (CRRI) on or before March 31, 2011 are eligible to apply for the entrance examination, subject to the condition that the admission will be given only after registration of TC Medical Council. The upper age limit for general merit candidates as on April 30, 2011, is 45 years. The upper age limit for service candidates is as per clause IV (C) of the prospectus. Prospectus and application form will be available on the website www.cee-kerala.org from January 6. The application form is common for general and service candidates. Candidates seeking admission to this course must first apply in the online application form provided on the website and then remit the required fee at any State Bank of Travancore branch. Application fee for general candidates is Rs.1,000 and SC/ST candidates is Rs.500. Service candidates who seek admission under general quota should pay extra Rs.1,000 (total Rs.2,000). General candidates should forward completed application forms along with required documents mentioned in the prospectus to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Housing Board Buildings, Santhinagar, Thiruvananthapuram - 1. The applications must be sent either as registered post, speed post or as hand delivery. Applications should reach the CEE office before 5 p.m. on January 24. However, service candidates should send their application forms, along with all required documents, to Controlling Officer as stipulated in the prospectus on or before January 24. Service candidates seeking admission in general merit quota will have to forward the application form both to the Controlling Officer and Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. Candidates are directed to go through various provisions of the prospectus available on the official website of the CEE.
