Teachers' body thanks CM

Namakkal: Members of the Tamil Nadu Teachers' Federation have thanked Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi for increasing the salaries of primary school teachers, higher secondary school headmasters and district education officers by Rs. 1,088, Rs. 750 and Rs. 435 respectively.

Pongal bonus of primary school teachers, other grade teachers and pensioners has also been increased by Rs. 3,000, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500, according to a release.
