Attack on pastor is a fabricated story: vedike

DAVANGERE: The Hindu Jagarana Vedike has described the reported attack on Pastor Samuel Isaac here a few days ago as a fabricated story aimed at defaming organisations of a community.
The pastor had tried to run away from the tent when a person accused him of attempting to convert residents of the area, members of the vedike said. He sustained minor injuries when he fell down, the vedike claimed.
Doctors who had treated him at Chigateri general hospital had discharged him on the same night, but others had admitted him to a private hospital to create unrest in the community, they alleged.
Speaking to reporters here on Wednesday, Y. Mallesh, Veeresh and Deepak Ranade of the vedike demanded a detailed police inquiry into the incident.
