Coimbatore: Mountaineering Adventure Sports Society (MASS) India is launching its Survivor series once again from January 9 to 31. This is the seventh edition of the annual event. A release from L. Fredrick – Mountaineer said that the prelims of MAS Survivor will start from January 9 to 31 and each camp will have 50 participants battling it out for two days challenging themselves in the spheres of tent pitching, basic rock climbing, rappelling, river crossing, night trek, cave explore and basic rescue techniques at Thirumurthy Hills. MASS is also organising Himalayan Expedition to Hamta Pass 14,005 ft, Manali-Himachal Pradesh during April 17 to May 3. The participants will be selected for Mountaineering expedition to Mt. Mera peak 21,825 ft, Mount Everest Region, Sagarmatha National Park from May 26 to June 18, 2011. Registration have begun.
