Dental students' meet

VIJAYAWADA: The third All India Dental Students Conference being jointly hosted by the Sibar Institute of Dental Sciences, Dr. Sudha and Nageswara Rao Dental College and the Government Dental College began at the Siddhartha Auditorium here on Friday.

Indian Dental Association national president L. Krishna Prasad addressing a press conference said the three-day conference would be formally inaugurated by Dental Council of India acting president Mahesh Verma on Saturday. Dr. NTR University of Health Sciences Registrar T. Venugopal Rao, DCI executive committee member Pradeep C. Shetty and K. Satheesh Reddy will also participate in the inaugural programme.

Dr. Prasad said that over 2,500 under-graduate and post-graduate students from 24 institutions in the country have registered for the conference. He said the students who have come for the conference would benefit from a plethora of scientific sessions, presentations and orations that have been planned.

Between the academic sessions students would also show their singing and dancing talents, Dr. Prasad said.
