Staff Reporter
Bangalore: Autorickshaw drivers affiliated to the Autorickshaw Drivers' Union-CITU, staged a protest in front of the Yeshwanthpur Regional Transport Office here on Friday. Their protest was against the State Government's decision to issue 15,000 new permits.
“The Government should do a survey on the number of autorickshaws required in the city before issuing new permits,” Union Secretary Rudra Murthy told The Hindu.
Hike in gas price
The protesters also raised slogans against the hike in the auto gas prices. They also submitted a memorandum to Assistant Regional Transport Officer Chandrashekar.
