Thiruvallur in command
Coimbatore: Thiruvallur gained a crucial 104-run first innings lead against host Coimbatore in the semifinals of the three-day TNCA under-22 inter-district cricket tournament at the SNR Sons College grounds here on Friday.
After posting 351 in its first essay, the visitor bundled out the host for 247 for the first innings lead. At stumps, Thiruvallur was 40 for two.
The scores: Semifinals: Thiruvallur 351 & 40 for two in 11 overs vs. Coimbatore 247 in 82 overs (A. Siddharth 49, Dheer Bhimani 32, C.R. Kirubashankar 52 n.o., M. Panchapakesan four for 84, Srivatsan three for 65) .
