MUNDUR (PALAKKAD): Minister for Power A.K. Balan inaugurated a public reception at the Kallipara junction here on Monday to felicitate gold-medal winners of the National School Games held in Pune. The meeting felicitated athletes P.U. Chithra, K.K. Vidaya, Divya and Dilip and their trainer Sajin of Mundur Government Higher Secondary School. The Minister presented them mementos. The Minister also announced an assistance of Rs.2 lakh to K.K. Vidaya to help her construct a house. The meeting was presided over by K.S. Saleekha, MLA. M.B. Rajesh, MP, delivered the keynote address. District panchayat president T.N. Khandamuthan and District Sports Council Secretary T.R. Ajayan spoke.
