NCP's OBC cell office locked up

Correspondent

Kolhapur: The Nationalist Congress Party wanted its Other Backward Class (OBC) cell and its state chief Bhanudas Mali to organise a rally of OBC members in the party's office at Kolhapur. The intimation was given before two days about the proposed rally with demand for the NCP' s office here.

But when the OBC cell chief Mali came to Kolhapur on Sunday the NCP' s office was locked and its key which was reportedly in possession of the NCP MLA K.P. Patil was not given to him.

Despite contacting local NCP leaders and the NCP minister Hassan Mushrif, the office key was not made available to Mali for the proposed rally.

As the NCP's office was denied, the rally was held in open space in front of the office and OBC cell members expressed discontent against the way the NCP' s Kolhapur unit behaved with the party's OBC cell.
