Rs.9.11 lakh education loan to 13 students

ARIYALUR: The District Collector, T. K. Ponnusamy handed over educational loans worth Rs. 9.11 lakh to 13 students, sanctioned by the State Bank of India during the weekly grievances day meeting here on Monday.

The Collector also distributed Indira Gandhi Housing Scheme loan and crop loan, all worth Rs. 13.48 lakh sanctioned by Indian Overseas Bank to 11 beneficiaries, certificates to 43 boys and girls who had completed computer and driving courses sponsored by the TAHDCO, and Rs. 25,000 cheque each to 10 women under the Sivakami Ammaiyar memorial female children protection scheme of the Social Welfare Department.

He received petitions containing demands of the people on the occasion.

R.Pichai, District Revenue Officer, Mohan, lead bank deputy general manager, Sankar, lead bank manager, Thangarajan, senior manager, Indian Overseas Bank, were present.
