Hyderabad: This Sankranti festival deck up the “Bommala Koluvu” in your house with Kondapally, Etikoppaka and Nirmal toys.
The Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited is organising exclusive exhibition-cum-sale of these toys at its showroom in Musheerabad till Friday. As part of the Sankranti festivities, most families arrange Bommala Koluvu, an exhibition of toys in their houses and Kondapally toys are one of the best toys to exhibit, says Raghu Babu, an artisan from Kondapally.
Toys galore
Right from the traditional Kondapally palm tree toys, bullock carts toys, caparisoned elephant toys, village backdrop toys to Brindavana and Dasavatara set toys, the expo showcases many toys.
The Etikoppaka toys, particularly the Lord Ganesha toys, canon toys and bullock carts offer you an option to make your Bommala Koluvu even more attractive.
Not to mention about the Nirmal toys, including the birds and wild animals' toys that stand out in the expo.
Prices of these toys range from Rs. 15 to Rs. 800 and the Corporation is offering 10 per cent discount on the purchase during the expo.
The artisans expect to sell toys worth over Rs. 3 lakh during the expo, said Lepakshi Export Oriented Showroom Senior Manager I.V. Lakshminath.
