Pritul, Nirav triumph

KOLKATA: Pritul Dey and Nirav Mehta incurred the least penalty of 883 points to top the professional category of the inaugural Rally de State of Art, a novel format TSD rally run on stages adjoining Durgapur.

The combination of Sandip Mukherjee and Suvrajit Dutta won the amateur category tallying 2,157 points.

The rally, with an official distance of 107.64km, saw a total of 16 teams (seven in the professional and nine in the amateur categories) completing the three-stage course.

The results: Professional category: 1. Pritul Dey & Nirav Mehta (883 points); 2. Saptarshi Saha/ Indranil Biswas (2,021); 3. Pushpak Ghosh & Chandan Sen (2,602); 4. Subir Roy & Susovan Dey (2,835).

  Amateur category: 1. Sandeep Mukherjee & Suvrajit Dutta (2,157 points); 2. Shekhar Choudhury & Prithviraj Ray (2,551); 3. Surjanil Dasgupta & Sudip Halder (2,647); 4. Nirmallya Das & Ipsita Das (2,990) .
