Netherlands team meets Ponnala Lakshmaiah

HYDERABAD: A high-level team from Netherlands, led by Schwalb, Chief Financial Officer and Member on the Board of Royal DSM N.V. a Fortune 500 company with a turnover of US $ 10 billion called on Ponnala Lakshmaiah, Minister for Information Technology & Communications, exploring the possibility of setting up back office operations and IT support services centre in the State. K. Ratna Prabha, Principal Secretary, IT & C, who interacted with the visiting team, said the Andhra Pradesh government had showcased the benefits if the company set up their operations in Hyderabad, in terms of IT and physical infrastructure like orbital and radial road networks and an industry-ready talent pool.

Mr. Lakshmaiah assured the full support of the government to the ICT industry, especially during ‘bandhs' and other intermediary crises. He said the DSM delegation was convinced and were most likely to announce their decision for having a back office and IT support centre here in the form of a 150-member facility initially.
