NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State for Labour and Employment Harish Rawat has said that his Ministry will sympathetically address various concerns of journalists relating to the recommendations of Justice Majithia Wage Board which submitted its report recently.

During an interaction with a delegation of Delhi Union of Journalists on Tuesday, the Minister assured expeditious processing of the report.

The DUJ delegation apprised the Minister on various issues that have been agitating the minds of journalists. It stressed the need for increasing allowances and a risk insurance cover.

A permanent wage fixation machinery needs to be set up for the entire industry rather than a tribunal of vested interests, said the delegation.
