Four killed

Tirupur: Four persons died in two accidents that took place in the district on Thursday.
In the accident at Vellakoil, Vignesh (19) and Vidhya (2) were killed while they were hit by an unidentified vehicle while crossing a road. Police said the incident happened soon after they got down from the van in which they were travelling from Palladam to Nagapattinam at Vellakoil to take some refreshment.
The other accident took place at Avinashi in which A. Sadam Hussain (19) and P. Vinoth (19), who were travelling on a motorbike, were killed. A van allegedly hit the bike from behind while traversing through NH 47.
