Bird census conducted

HOSUR: A day-long bird census was conducted by the Forest Department at the seven forest ranges in the district from dawn-to-dusk on Wednesday for the first time. It was part of the Integrated Water Bird Census conducted across all wetlands and bird congregations in the State.

A 240-member team of forest officers and students were divided into 24 teams to cover seven forest ranges such as Hosur, Denkanikottai, Royakottai, Krishnagiri, Thaly, Urigam, and Jawalagiri.
