Chirag draws

KOLKATA: Leader East Bengal was held to a goalless draw by Durand Cup champion Chirag United SC in a ninth round I-League football match at the Salt Lake Stadium here on Friday.

The draw, the second for East Bengal, means it now has 23 points, while Chirag reached 14 points after its fifth draw.

. East Bengal definitely missed its Australian striker Ozbey Tolgay who had to sit out the match owing to a double yellow card booking, while Chirag missed its Nigerian striker Elijah Junior, who was out with an injury.

Chirag's defender Arnab Mondal was adjudged Man-of-the-Match. — Special Correspondent
