Alleged suicide by newly married couple
Kaithal (Haryana): A newly-married couple allegedly committed suicide in Arjun Nagar locality here, police said on Sunday.
The couple consumed some poisonous substance on Saturday and were rushed to the civil hospital, where they were declared brought dead, police added.
Bittu alias Gurinder (21) and Namrata, a resident of Saketri near Chandigarh, had married at Mansa Devi temple in Panchkula a few days ago against their families' wishes, police said, adding that they belonged to different castes.
A suicide note has been found saying they were ending their lives voluntarily, police said.
