VISAKHAPATNAM: Second phase of ‘Odarpu yatra' by former Kadapa MP Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy will begin at Payakaraopeta on Tuesday. A large number of leaders and workers from other political parties are likely to join the Jagan group. The former Kadapa MP, who was buoyed by the success of his New Delhi agitation seeking justice for Andhra Pradesh in the allocation of Krishna waters, would tour the district for five days from January 18 to 22 and would console six families during the period covering 322 km. Jagan group leaders are making all out efforts for Payakaraopeta meeting to prove that the former Kadapa MP enjoys mass following in Visakhapatnam district. Mr. Jagan would unveil statue of former Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at the meeting. MLA G. Baburao has been supporting the Jagan group and was not caring the warnings of Congress high command, including the latest on Monday through APCC president D. Srinivas. After reaching Rajahmundry from Hyderabad, Mr. Jagan will drive down to Payakaraopeta to address a public meeting before setting out on the 93-km. yatra on the first day in the Assembly constituency. He will console two families that of Vedulla Ravikumar at Venkatapuram and Taruturi Apparao at Vakapadu, who lost their lives soon after YSR died in September 2009. Mr. Jagan will conclude his yatra on Jan. 22 in the city by unveiling the statue of YSR at Jagadamba Junction and addressing a meeting in the evening.
