CPI protests hike in petrol price

TIRUVARUR: Cadre of Communist Party of India led by Durai Manickam, party state executive committee member , staged a demonstration near bus stand here on Monday protesting the hike in petrol price.

They demanded withdrawal of the hike immediately. According to them, hike in petrol prices would hit people who are already burdened with rise in price of all commodities such as vegetables and onions.

Masilamani, district secretary of the Tamil Nadu Vivasayigal Sangam affiliated to Communist Party of India, and others participated in the demonstration.
