Maoist escapes from jail in Jharkhand

RANCHI: Three members of the banned the Communist Party of India (Maoist), escaped from a jail in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand on Monday, police said.

According to official sources, all three hardcore Maoists - Dhirendra, Sandeep and Nirbhay -escaped from jail by breaking the ceiling of their cell. They were in jail for the last two years.

They were involved in killing more than three dozen security personnel.

All three were the members of zonal committee of the CPI (Maoist).
