Karthikeyan stars for RKS CA

Coimbatore: An all-round show by left-arm spinner S.R. Karthikeyan (four for 31 and 39) enabled RKS Cricket Academy score a convincing 93-run win over Coimbatore Raiders in the TNCA-CDCA first division cricket league here on Monday.

The scores: First division: RKS CA 238 for nine in 30 overs (A. Siddharth 41, S.R. Karthikeyan 39, B. Karthikeyan three for 25) bt Coimbatore Raiders 145 in 30.1 overs (Srinath 42, S. Muthumurugan 30, S.R. Karthikeyan four for 31).

Third division: R.S. Puram CC 148 in 42.2 overs (Hariharan three for 22, Maharaja three for 28) lost to Rainbow 1972 MMCC 149 for four in 34 overs (Maharaja 42, Rajesh 38 n.o.).

Fourth division: Mani HSS 63 in 27 overs (Mahesh Kumar six for 22) lost to Rainbow Wizards 64 for three in 19 overs .

Marshall shines

At Udhagamandalam, D. Marshall hit an unbeaten 72 as Blossoms Cricket Club defeated Yankees Cricket Club by seven wickets in the TNCA-NDCA first division cricket league for the K-Lite Rolling Trophy at the Lawrence School grounds recently.

The scores: First division (K-Lite Rolling Trophy): Yankees CC 149 (Anil G. Bablani 46, Chandrika Prasad Rao 48, D. Martin four for 17, S. Vignesh three for 22) lost to Blossoms CC 150 for three in 28.1 overs (D. Marshall 72 n.o.); Kents CC 156 (J. Christopher Lawrence 44) bt Cordite Factory SC 129 (T.G. Vineeth Kumar three for 32).

HPF Staff Club Rolling Trophy: Young Stars CC 200 (Mohammed Rahim 53, K. Dharshan 48, T. Nandha Kumar 43, V. Shiva Kumar three for 40, P. Prasanna three for 23) lost to Yankees CC 205 for nine in 39.3 overs (K. Vinod 93 n.o., Anil G. Bablani 53) .

Chess tournament
