KSEB men in semifinals
THRISSUR: Favourite KSEB men stormed into the semifnals of the Kattukaran Porinch Master memorial Champions Trophy State inter-club basketball tournament at the GHSS schools ground on Thursday.
KSEB brushed aside the challenge from Alleppey Basketballers 70-49 to top the group and enter the semifinals. In the semifinals, KSEB will meet SB College, Changanassery while Alleppey will meet Mar Ivanios College.
In the women's section, SAI Thalassery got the better of SAI, Thrissur 67-54 to enter the semifinals. However, irrespective of the result, SAI, Thrissur also made the grade.
The results (league):
Men: KSEB, Thiruvananthapuram 70 (K.R.Nikhil 20, Albin Baby 20, V.G.Ajith 14) bt Alleppey Basketballers 49 (Jomon Jose 18, Shyam 10).
Women: SAI, Thalassery 67 (P.S. Surya 27, Soniya Joy 15, P.S. Neenumol 11, Angelina Joy 10) bt SAI, Thrissur 54 (Rojamol 18, R. Geetha 10) . — Principal Correspondent
