Bangalore: The Janata Dal (Secular) will launch a country-wide campaign, including in the Parliament, to expose and highlight the misdeeds of the BJP Government in Karnataka. According to the draft resolution, which is to be adopted by the JD(S) in its plenary on Thursday here, the party would seek the support of all secular and non-political forces in the State to join hands with the organisation “to defeat the nefarious designs of the saffron party. The crusade against corruption cannot be one-sided or in isolation. The war against corruption would not only be incomplete but also lack credibility without targeting the BJP Government in Karnataka.” Resolution The party resolution vowed not to allow the “blatant loot of Karnataka by the land and mine mafia under the patronage of Chief Minister B.S. Yedyyurappa” and decided to adopt all constitutional means to “oust the worst government in the State's history and provide a humane, corruption-free alternative to the people of the State”. The party assured the people its “abiding commitment to the secular values cherished by our founding fathers”. Dig at Gadkari The Janata Dal (S) also took a dig at BJP national president Nitin Gadkari's comment terming Mr. Yeddyurappa's action vis-à-vis the land deal as “immoral but not illegal” as “utterly ridiculous and was reflective of the growing decadence within the BJP which once claimed to be different”.
