Woman's head, girl's body found

VILLUPURAM: The severed head of an unidentified woman and the body of one-and-half-year-old girl were found in an unclaimed baggage in a transport corporation bus at Sankarapuram near here on Wednesday.
Police sources said that the bus operating on the Sankarapuram-Chennai-Salem route returned to the Sankarapuram depot at about 4.30 a.m. on Wednesday. The conductor noticed a black bag. Since there was no claimant he handed it over to the Transport Corporation officials.
Foul smell
As foul smell emanated from the baggage, the officials opened it. They found the severed head and the girl's body packed in separate polythene covers. The police have registered a case.
