Good response to cyclothon yet again

BANGALORE: The BSA Hercules India Cyclothon, a mass mobilisation event aimed at promoting cycling, will on Sunday return to Bangalore for its second edition.

The event will be held in five categories — elite National (men, 50 km), junior (8-13 years, 5 km), amateur (18 and above, 25 km), corporate (18 and above, 25 km), and LG Green Ride (14 and above, 13 km) — with only the first of them competitive.

Hat-trick by Gurpreet

Gurpreet Singh's hat-trick ensured BPCL maintained its position at the top of the Ozonegroup State Super Division hockey league table, with a 5-1 mauling of Sports Authority of India (SAI) here on Wednesday.

The results: Namdhari XI 2 (Malak Singh 10, Harpreet Singh 11) vs ASC 0 (play suspended after the first half).
