Kozhikode: Nanma, a social movement which organises programmes for the uplift of economically and socially backward children, in association with BPCL - Kochi Refinery Learning Centre, has arranged training classes for volunteers who are ready to support its activities. Selected volunteers will be groomed to serve as teachers and facilitators to help children develop life skills, language skills and logical and reasoning skills. Among those already supporting Nanma are P. Vijayan, City Police Commissioner, Kozhikode, P.C. Thomas, who heads the reputed coaching centre for entrance examinations in Thrissur, K.K. Jayan, Deputy General Manager, Kochi Refineries, Sethuraman, Superintendent of Police, Malappuram, Suresh Kumar, Director, Institute of Palliative Medicine in Kozhikode and organisations like KR Bakeries and Geojit Securities.
