Putting pressure:According to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwara, all Union Ministers from the State will participate in the public meeting. BANGALORE: Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president G. Parameshwara on Monday announced that a massive rally would be organised in the city on Sunday demanding resignation of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa following his prosecution for allotting ‘G' category sites to his close relatives and de notifying government lands favouring them. Speaking to presspersons, Mr. Parameshwara said any one, who was interested in participating in combating corruption including political parties such as Janata Dal (Secular) were welcome to the rally. But, he did not say whether the KPCC would formally invite the Janata Dal (Secular), which was also espousing the same cause. Mr. Parameshwara said that all the Union Ministers from the State and AICC general secretary in charge of Karnataka Ghulam Nabi Azad would participate in the public meeting. He made it clear that the rally would be organised in such a way that the public would not be affected. A large number of people and workers from nine districts of the Bangalore division would attend it. Separate rallies would be held in other divisional headquarters later. He said that Mr. Yeddyurappa should resign and the Bharatiya Janata Party should clarify whether he respects rule of law and the Constitution. Instead, the BJP chose to petition the President Pratibha Patil.
