VISAKHAPATNAM: The Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority has taken up development of infrastructure and implementing other plans spending crores of rupees and their true objective will be met only if they reached all sections of people, VUDA Vice-Chairman B. Sreedhar has said.
Addressing the staff after unfurling the tricolour, he said VUDA was playing a key role in shaping the city as an international one but all other parts that come under its purview should also be given equal importance and only coordinated efforts by the staff would achieve it.
Mr. Sreedhar gave away commendation certificates to executive engineer N.V.S. Prasada Murthy, Forest Range Officer A. Ramesh Kumar, Administrative Officer P. Chintalaiah and senior assistants I.S. Subba Rao and B. Vishnu Murthy, among others.
At the district level, executive engineer D.V. Varma, deputy executive engineer S. Vijayalakshmi and assistant planning officer L. Subrahmanay received commendation certificates.
CMD of APEPDCL Ahmad Nadeem unfurled the national flag at the corporate office. He took the guard of honour of Anti Power Theft Squad (APTS) of the company.
Addressing employees and their families, he said that EPDCL had created many records in the country as best power utility and congratulated employees for their dedicated services.
With the company effectively using information technology, online bill payment collections rose considerably from Rs.2 lakhs to Rs. 1.2 crores.
