‘KCR power hungry'

T.G. Venkatesh asks KCR to mind his language

TRS chief should trace his lineage, says the Minister

KURNOOL: Minister for Minor Irrigation T.G. Venkatesh on Saturday described Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao as power hungry leader who had love neither for Telangana nor Andhra.

Talking to reporters here, Mr. Venkatesh said Mr. Rao was abusing and humiliating leaders of both Telangana and Andhra regions who ever did not toe his line.

He accused Mr. Rao of having no control over his tongue and asked him to mind his language.

He said Mr. Rao started his protest on the plank of backwardness. Now, a professional body like Srikrishna panel bared all the facts and substantiated their stand with all figures. Now, Mr. Rao changed his stand to self-rule. He could have made his intentions for power known earlier, Mr. Venkatesh said.

Referring to the charge of Mr. Rao that migrant leaders were ‘sucking the blood of Telangana' leaders, Mr. Venkatesh asked Mr. Rao and TRS MP Vijayashanti to honestly trace their lineage whether their ancestors did not hail from Andhra area.

He said the Srikrishna panel which suggested a development board for Telangana had ignored Rayalaseema. Instigating students

Mr. Venkatesh said the TRS chief was playing with the lives of innocent students and failed to bring any tangible benefits to Telangana. “Had he taken up the issue of backwardness with the Centre, the region could have been sanctioned Rs. 1 lakh crore,” the Minister said.
