Special Correspondent
VISAKHAPATNAM: Twenty five children in three villages of Anantagiri mandal, fallen sick and were treated at the Anantagiri Primary Health Centre on Saturday, according reports reaching here.
The children were from Maliyaguda, Godaguda and Poolaguda.
The Medical Officer of Anantagiri PHC said that polio drops, administered a few days ago during the Pulse Polio programme, were not the reason for the children falling sick.
When contacted, District Medical and Health Officer G. Savithri said here that the District Immunisation Officer was inquiring into the incident. Administering the polio drops might have coincided with some sickness and could not be the reason, Dr. Savithri added.
