SALEM: Agriculture Minister Veerapandi S Arumugam has been admitted to a private hospital here on Monday evening following a sore throat and complications associated with severe bronchitis. Highly placed hospital sources said that the Minister who was supervising the arrangements for the visit of Deputy Chief Minister M K Stalin on Tuesday at Attur to inaugurate a string of development works, had developed fever along with a bout of skin rashes since this morning. He was taken to the hospital where he was admitted and kept under medical observation. “He will be alright in a day or two. He needs just rest,” said a senior physician attached to the hospital.
