Deputy Tahsildar convicted in ACB case

HYDERABAD: The First Additional Special Judge for SPE and ACB Cases, Hyderabad, has convicted K. Muthyalappa, Deputy Tahsildar at Ramgiri Tahsildar's office, Anantapur, and sentenced him to two years rigorous imprisonment.
He has also been fined him a sum of Rs.1,000 for the offence under the Prevention of Corruption Act.
A press release from the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) here on Monday said that in case of default, the judge ordered him to undergo six months simple imprisonment and further sentenced him to two years rigorous imprisonment and to pay Rs.1,000 as fine.
In case of default in the payment of fine, Muthyalappa is to suffer six months simple imprisonment.
Both the sentences are to run concurrently.
