Senior citizen attempts suicide in court

BANGALORE: Dejected by a judgment that went against him in a land dispute, 72-year-old Muninanjappa consumed pesticide in front of the Principal Sessions Judge (Bangalore Rural) at the City Civil Court complex here on Monday. Said to be in a critical condition, Mr. Muninanjappa is battling for his life at a government hospital. The Ulsoor Gate police said that he was fighting a case for rights to 2.75 acres of agricultural land in Anekal.
